![]() ![]() I just hope this spawns more realistic-space-physics-sims of some kind because I feel a lot can be done with just that concept and adding something on top.Īll in all, I found all my enjoyment in the sandbox mode making my own goals. I gave the game 4.0 cause I really have spent a lot of time with it and I love the idea behind the game, but some other game in the same situation I would have given way lower a score (like Minecraft, for example, which I never really enjoyed but played it around a similar timeframe). I played it since the first release in 2010 (or was it 2011?, in any way, one of the first Early Access games after Minecraft) and the devs took so long to implement simple features that had been modded in for years that I wonder how they even got it released as 1.0 (that update mainly added female Kerbonauts). It’ll also be a free upgrade to those who already own the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.It's a fun game but a tremendous waste of potential and a case of the incompetent devs. Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition will head to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 this fall. ![]() In the meantime, you can check out a 20-minute mini-doc celebrating ten years of the series below. The game’s sequel Kerbal Space Program 2 is currently in development, and is expected to launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2022. ![]() It launched (pun intended) fully in 2015 and made its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 a year later before an improved version for those consoles in 2018. The space-faring simulator first launched on PC in a beta state in 2011, before heading to Early Access in 2013. This news comes in time for the tenth anniversary of the original release of Kerbal Space Program. We’re also promised advanced shaders, better textures and the slightly vague “additional performance improvements.” The enhancements in question include an upgraded resolution and improved framerates, but will also feature full mouse and keyboard support. Private Division has announced it’ll be bringing Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles later in the year. ![]()
